Montana Agate

Only found in the state of Montana is this unique agate. These agates are produced when silica within the groundwater is deposited through openings along the subsurface. It was believed that this Agate produced as an outcome of volcanic activity in the Yellowstone Park millions of years ago.   Framed with antiqued copper and measuring 2 1/2 " it almost appears that your standing at the edge of the Yellowstone river when you gaze on it.
